Skincare Tips | The Skin Studios Hove

Now we are well on our way into Autumn!


It's important to relook at our skincare and make sure we are giving our skin everything it needs to be glowing and functioning optimally through these colder months approaching.


Here are some of our favourite Autumn skin tips:


1. TOPICAL HYDRATION


Keeping your skin hydrated is important for good skin health going into cooler days, central heating and harsh wind can really suck the moisture out of your skin.

2. CREAM CLEANSERS & BALMS


We love a good Cleansing routine at The Skin Studios Hove.

3. RETINOL ( VITAMIN A )


Retinol based serums and creams are our go-to in Autumn and Winter.

4. GO TO TREATMENTS

5. DIET


Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids are important to get into your diet all year around, through supplementation or from foods like; salmon, herring, sardines, flaxseeds, edamame, walnuts. They are essential for good skin health especially if you are someone with an inflammatory skin condition.


Eating lots of antioxidant-rich fruits like berries. Berries have powerful antioxidants that help fight free radicals, which can cause wrinkles and fine lines on the skin. So a daily handful of berries goes a long way. We like to sprinkle them on top of our porridge. :)


Carrots are a rich source of Vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps your body produce collagen, which is a protein that's vital to maintain your skin's elasticity. In fact, these crunchy delights are high in vitamin A which helps protect skin against free radical damage.


Keep up with Water intake as like we said before central heating can suck all the moisture out of your skin leaving it dehydrated. Having a few glasses a day is ideal. You can make a pot of herbal tea and sip away at it through the day if you're not keen on drinking cold water.
